Matthew Rhoten Named MPA Alumnus of the Year 2023

At the Student-Alumni Conference, Matt Rhoten was named the 2023 MPA Alum of the Year. Matthew “Matt” Rhoten is the Deputy County Manager for Gaston County and adjunct for the MPA program. As deputy county manager, Matt oversees essential health and human services and administrative/general government departments, including Public Health, Social Services, Community Support Services, Budget and Strategy, Human Resources, Information Technology and the office.
